Xylocaine Ointment, anesthetic ointment 35 grams
USE IT WITH
This medication belongs to a group of local anesthetics. It contains lidocaine, a short-acting amide-type local anesthetic with a rapid onset of action. This medication relieves pain and itching through its numbing effect. This medication can be used in adults and children of all ages for conditions of the skin and mucous membranes that cause burning, pain, or itching, such as hemorrhoids and anal itching.
NOT TO BE USED WITH
- If you suffer from bleeding hemorrhoids or heart conditions.
- Are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or to amide-type local anesthetics such as bupivacaine, mepivacaine and prilocaine.
DOSAGE
Adults
Use 1 to 5 grams of ointment per application for an adult weighing 70 kg.
Do not use more than 10 grams of ointment at a time. This means you can use a 35-gram tube at least three times. After applying this maximum amount, you must wait at least 8 hours before applying a second dose of ointment.
You may use a maximum of half a tube per day.
