GIMA Smoke Evacuator – Surgical Smoke Evacuation System
An aspiration and filtering system for the smoke produced during surgical procedures.
The smoke generated during surgical procedures has a bad, strong and persistent smell.
These smokes consist of water vapour, organic gas, visible or invisible solid particles and viral particles.
Good aspiration and filtration eliminate bad smells, reduce bacteriological and/or viral risks, and improve visibility of the operating area during laparoscopic procedures.
Activation of the aspiration can be:
- Automatic, through the remote electronic system for automatic detection of the activation of the high-frequency electrosurgical unit
- Manual
- Through a foot switch (optional)
The aspiration flow can be adjusted to suit specific needs. For laparoscopic procedures, there is a specific L function that can be selected quickly.
The smoke evacuator has electronic control of the aspiration with indication of the filter wear status.
There are two different types of quickly replaceable ULPA filters with active carbon:
the BLUE filter is the first filter and is included with the unit for an initial use time of 5 hours,
the RED filter is an optional spare part developed for long-term use of 20 hours. You order this item, and we will then discuss which version you need, depending on the supplied serial number.
Made in Italy.
