Sensitest Sperm Test Kit – Self-Test for Sperm Concentration
The Rapid Sperm Concentration Test is a biochemical test that provides an in vitro
qualitative estimate of sperm concentration in human semen as an adjunct to clinical diagnosis of infertility
and/or pregnancy planning by self-evaluating whether sperm concentration is higher or
lower than that required for pregnancy.
This product has an inert glass fiber membrane with high
water absorption capacity and a pore size of less than 0.5 μm to
filter sperm. Sperm cells are retained on the surface of the first
membrane layer and a staining solution is used to stain sperm cells. The
darker the color of sample point “A”, the higher the sperm concentration. If
the color of sample point “A” is lighter than the standard color of reference point
“B”, this indicates that the sperm concentration is lower than 15 million/mL. If the color of
sample point “A” is darker than the standard color of reference point “B”,
this indicates that the sperm concentration is higher than 15 million/mL. A
sperm concentration of 15 million/mL is the minimum expected sperm concentration
for pregnancy.
This test kit is designed to provide an in vitro qualitative estimate of
sperm concentration in human semen. This essentially means that the test
determines whether the sperm count is high enough to achieve fertilization
through sexual intercourse, depending on the time of ovulation in the
female partner. Low sperm concentrations reduce the chance of fertilization.
