Checkkit PSA, home test with reliable laboratory results

PSA stands for Prostate Specific Antigen. This is a protein that is made in the prostate and ensures that the semen liquefies. Although it was initially described as a substance specific to the prostate, it appears that it can also be secreted by other organs, such as the salivary and mammary glands. However, these glands only account for a maximum of 1% of all PSA production. The prostate is thus by far the most important organ in PSA production. A small amount of this protein leaks from the prostate into the blood, see image below. This amount can be measured with a PSA test.

How do I know that CHECKKIT testing is reliable?
If you follow the manual and perform the test correctly, the result is just as reliable as you would get it from the GP or GGD.
How does the test administration work?
With the Checkkit home tests you can easily take your test yourself for analysis in the laboratory. Simple finger prick for taking a few drops of blood.
Then put it in the seal bag and then together with the leaflet in the return box. You can then send this to our laboratory free of charge by regular mail.
